About RaidsEdit

Legacy of a Thousand Suns raids are what make this game a social networking game. The missions and PvP are basically you against whoever you click on or whatever mission you choose. Battledome requires you to select 3 friends to help you but they don't actively do anything, you even choose their equipment. In a raid though, you count on your compannions to buff the boss with appropriate enhancements and to do damage enough to kill the boss. If your companions in the raid are not actively participating you will not beat the boss, unless you could solo him in the first place.

There are 2 types of raids - Alliance and Public. With an Alliance raid you can only have members of your guild particpating. With a Public raid you can have anyone that is playing the game - alliance members, friends, or players that are neither in your alliance or a friend. In addition to types of attendees, each raid has a limitation on the number of participants. There are 10, 50, 100, and 250 member sized raids for both Alliance and Public Raids. Public Raids use your stamina trait to fuel your activities. While casting a buff costs no stamina, you will be attacking regularly and using either 1, 5 or 20 stamina attacks. Alliance raids work exactly the same but use your honor attribue to fuel your activities instead of your stamina.

Raids can be summoned as Normal, Hard Legendary or Nightmare. Each level builds on the loot table of the level before it. At normal level the boss will "drop" loot items that can be used for crafting recipies for stats plus a few other items that are typically equipment for your character or battledome team members. Hard, Legendary and Nightmare add crafting componenents, troops, ships, tactics and equipment. As the boss is summoned at higher levels of difficulty they get more health but they do not receive additional abilities or other aspects.
